5 Minute Read

Have You Seen Our New Look?

You know those people that spend so much time taking care of other people, they begin to neglect themselves? Yup. That’s been us. Don’t get me wrong… we love our clients to death, and like any great marketing agency we always put our clients first… and that will never change!

We manage blogs for a living.

It’s not all we do for our clients, but it plays a big part. We strategically create content that speaks to each client’s intended buyer, we publish it and then we share the heck out of it across multiple channels. It brings in qualified leads, it brings in new business partnerships, it brings in loyal readers and most importantly it builds culture and credibility for our clients. Maintaining a blog is critical in leveraging new business. How else are you going to get your message out to the masses?

It’s been long overdue.

So if maintaining a blog is so important, why did we wait so long to update ours? Because we’ve been hella busy, and we wanted to make ours just right. We’ve taken aspects from every website we’ve built and every blog we’ve managed to create an all-encompassing kickass blog. I’m absolutely thrilled to kick off the new blog by sharing with you some of our newest features.

Here are 5 Things You Don’t Have to do Anymore:

1.   Endlessly Scroll

Forget scrolling through one, long RSS feed. What’s the point of having categories if you don’t display them in an organized fashion? Our old blog was basically just a newsfeed that never ended, which limited readers to the most recent 5 articles (because get real, nobody goes to the second page). Not cool! Now, we have different pages for the topics we love to write about: HR, Recruiting, Marketing, Business to Business and Career. You’ll find these tabs at the top of the page and in a right side bar for quick access to the topics you’re interested in most.scroll

2.   Waste Your Time

Screen Shot 2014-10-08 at 10.47.27 AMEvery article now has the amount of time it typically takes to read the post published right above the title (within the image). Each post is actually calculated by word count to determine the amount of time it would take to read. Our posts range from about 1 to 4 minutes, which isn’t long at all… but isn’t it nice to just know ahead of time?

3.   Put On Your Reading Glasses

I personally haven’t seen this feature on any other site, so it just goes to show how innovative our web developer extraordinaire, Jeremy, truly is. At the top right corner of each post is a little plus and minus sign. You can click on them to make the font either larger or smaller right within the post.

4.   Wonder When You’re Going to Get to the End

Yup, that’s right. Our new blog features a progress bar at the top of every page. Go ahead, test it out now (just don’t forget to come back). As you scroll up and down, the red progress bar at the top moves to represent your location on the page.

5.   Call Us Hypocrites

The amount of times we’ve stressed the importance of having responsive websites, blogs, career pages, etc. is sick… and the fact that our old blog was not responsive actually seems quite humorous to us now. We can’t believe it took us this long, but hey we’ve been so busy making everybody else look amazing! So go ahead, pull us up on your mobile device of choice because we are officially responsive.
