THE CHALLENGE

The Outreach Associate communicates our clients’ brands and solutions through social media and PR communications. You will build conversations in the market about the clients’ brand and solutions through social media marketing efforts. Your overall goal is to yield an ever-increasing ROI for our clients. Using Hubspot, Buffer, and our internal processes, you’ll help build monthly marketing campaigns that drive new business for your clients. You will be the go-to SME (Subject Matter Expert) to come up with strong Social Media and PR campaigns for your team.

  • Sketch: Got an eye for design? You’ll probably be using Sketch to make it come alive.

SUMMARY OF THE JOB

Create monthly, quarterly, and yearly, social campaigns and processes by planning and implementing new ideas; Manage and scheduled posts for several client accounts, including paid media; Increase brand awareness through captivating interactions; Measure, test, and report using analytical tools.

DAILY/WEEKLY/MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily: Organic engagement, tracking and optimization of paid ads, promote new blog posts
  • Weekly: Curated content, articles mentioned, Twitter threads, Longer LinkedIn posts, Twitter chats, Instagram posts, weekly meetings, look for PR opportunities for clients, and writing blog posts or longer-form content.
  • Monthly: Campaign meetings, schedule all campaign tasks, schedule all campaign content, analyze monthly performance, create monthly campaigns based on performance, look for new opportunities to increase awareness, update pinned posts on social platforms,

Ability to move quickly and make decisions, self-starter, excellent communication and writing skills, attention to detail, time management skills, exceptional initiative and follow-through skills.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THE ROLE FITS INTO THE BROADER CLIENT WORK AND COMPANY GOALS:

  • Social is the key to promoting the content we work hard at creating each month. This position ensures our audiences can find, share, and engage with the content and promotions we are featuring each month.
  • Social is usually the first look someone has into the company so ensuring the voice and tone matches the company overall is key to a successful branding strategy through social media.

At RBM, we’re open to your experience or your inexperience. If you think you have the skills to handle the role, we’re open to a conversation. We hire at all levels, this is the progression schedule.

OUTREACH PROGRESSION SCHEDULE:

  • Outreach Trainee: During this stage, the Outreach Trainee learns and can manage the organic social media needs for 2-4 clients.
  • Outreach Associate: During this stage, the Outreach Associate can manage up to 6 clients’ organic social media accounts natively and with client MarTech.
  • Outreach Coordinator: This is an Outreach position that handles all organic and paid social media initiatives and can run standard republishing and media opportunities. This Outreach position can manage in the Content SME role for 1 week in addition to their duties.
  • Outreach Manager: This is an Outreach position that can handle all social media strategy, paid and organic and all PR-focused activity including press release writing, placement, republishing, link outreach, and training
  • Outreach trainees. This Outreach position can manage in the Content SME role for 1 week in addition to their duties.
  • Outreach Strategist: This is an Outreach position that manages all aspects of social media and PR, is capable of training and directing multiple interns and client stakeholders, and has learned the content SME role well enough to fill out campaigns.
  • Outreach Director: This is a role in outreach strategy that has cross-trained within content and publishing and can perform both roles at ¾ capacity indefinitely.

IN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL:

  • Complete our onboarding and training process and learn all Brancher processes.
  • Get familiar with Monday.com and understand your role therein.
  • Learn about the HR and Recruiting Tech space and our role in it.
  • Attend our weekly meetings and attend all client calls for your pod.
  • Work on your first client reports and report analysis to clients alongside your Account Strategist counterpart.

IN TWO MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Create 3-5 new processes for your pod
  • Report on your social media/ PR efforts
  • Come up with new ideas for social media and PR efforts for your clients
  • Create process documents for your clients to manage multiple accounts
  • Complete your Hubspot certifications

IN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Understand what works in paid advertising efforts on Facebook and LinkedIn
  • Have a thorough understanding of what each client’s voice on social and PR are
  • Drive leads through organic and paid advertising efforts for your clients
  • Feel confident in your reporting
  • Be pushing your team to come up with new ideas to promote your clients’ brands

  • Have trained someone in your role
  • Confidently running multiple accounts
  • Drive strategy for all clients with actionable results
  • Built out processes for all job-related tasks
  • Partner with Branch partners to plan your next year at Red Branch Media–present your plan and growth areas to help carve out time and resources in advance
