Meet the Brancher: Lindsey Stark

Winter is coming, and with it comes another new Brancher. Lindsey Stark is RBM’s new Market Analyst, and the butt of countless Game of Thrones and Iron Man references, which means she is way into crunching numbers for our reports but has really taken a shine to creating awesome new content. Lindsey describes herself as passionate, kind and goofy, so we are excited for her to channel that passion into her analyses and maybe some of the goofiness, and to make market research and reporting interesting for everyone in the office.

The Eclectic Sister

The title of Lindsey’s yet unwritten autobiography speaks volumes of the goofiness she mentioned earlier. Given some of the non-traditional parts of Lindsey’s personality we think it’s a good title. When she was 5 years old her first CD was one of The Cranberries’ 90s albums. (She got over that though and her favorite band is Led Zepplin, much better choice.) She has a cat named Fred (THAT’S A PEOPLE NAME, LINDSEY!) So eclectic sums her up pretty well. We also take it to mean that somewhere out there she has a sister that is much less goofy.

I Don’t Believe in Circumstances

When we asked Lindsey for her favorite quote she responded with this quote about work ethics from George Bernard Shaw.

“People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don’t believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people that get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can’t find them, make them.”

Which is a little less silly than we expected, but gives us high hopes about Lindsey’s work ethic. She will have plenty of chances to create great circumstances here at Red Branch!

Everyone in the office is excited to have Lindsey on the team and read her reports and analyses. We will have to take care to word our criticism carefully though since Lindsey lists “poor manners” as one of her biggest pet peeves and she was a champion powerlifter in high school, so keeping on her good side is the plan!
