What the Red Branch Media Team is Thankful for in 2016

This year Red Branch Media has a lot to be thankful for…our Red Branch Media family, our wonderful clients, our blog readers and social friends! In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we asked the Red Branch Media team to share some of their favorite things about their turkey day celebrations and most importantly what they’re thankful for:

 

Christine Harris

What are you thankful for?  I am thankful for my health and loving family/friends.

What is your favorite thing about Thanksgiving? My favorite thing about thanksgiving, in general, is that you are simply there to be a part of something loving. No agenda or pressure with gifts. Just love and some great food.

What are you thankful for?  I am thankful for my small family. My husband and I, plus our seven fur babies! Plus, having this amazing job at Red Branch. Since starting down this career path, working somewhere like this has been my dream and I am so lucky to be able to work alongside everyone every day!

What is your favorite thing about Thanksgiving? My favorite thing about Thanksgiving is the having the opportunity to cook! My husband and I are the only vegetarian/vegans in our immediate family, so I love getting the chance to make a few side dishes and let people experience new types of food. Plus, I’m a pretty great cook.

What are you thankful for?  I’m thankful that I was able to go to Europe this year and that I finally found my pup-pup!

What is your favorite thing about Thanksgiving? My favorite thing about Thanksgiving is the time I spend with my family. This year I am cooking with my Dad, so I can finally learn from the Chef himself!

What are you thankful for? I am thankful for my mom, who is more helpful and supportive than I could ever ask for.

What is your favorite thing about Thanksgiving? My favorite thing about Thanksgiving is pie. Apple pie, sweet potato pie, pumpkin pie, chocolate pie… All the pies.

What are you thankful for? I am thankful for my loud and funny family, my crazy and strong friends and my sweet and loving boyfriend.

What is your favorite thing about Thanksgiving? My favorite part about thanksgiving is catching up with family members and experimenting with new recipes.

What are you thankful for? I’m thankful for being able to travel to my dream destination, Japan, this year with my twin sister. I am also thankful for all my family’s health and happiness.

What is your favorite thing about Thanksgiving? I love Thanksgiving because I am able to spend time with all of my family 24/7. Waking up and watching the parade, cooking all day and hanging out with all of my cousins is what makes Thanksgiving special.

Shalaina Ocasio

What are you thankful for? I am thankful for the amazing friends and family I have in my life who are happy and healthy as well as the job I get to go to every day that challenges me and makes me always want to be better.

What is your favorite thing about Thanksgiving? My favorite part about Thanksgiving is drinking wine and eating great food with the people I care about most in this world. I’m also a terrible a cook so I get to be the wine pourer for the day, which I love!

What are you thankful for? I’m so thankful for the 12 years I was given with my beautiful and wise Aunt Gwen, the amazing family I was lucky to be born into, the hilariously supportive family my loving boyfriend introduced and all the amazing friends who care so much for my happiness and well-being. I am surrounded by love and hope for the future.

What is your favorite thing about Thanksgiving? My favorite part of Thanksgiving is how loud every meal always get. Everyone is so excited to be talking and sharing food and giving advice, even if they saw each other the day before. It’s like Thanksgiving reminds everyone how much they need to be in each others’ lives.

What are you thankful for? I’m thankful for my beautiful, loving and understanding wife. She makes me so happy and I couldn’t live without her.

What is your favorite thing about Thanksgiving? My favorite things about Thanksgiving are getting to see my wife and both of our families, eating tons of food and getting to enjoy my favorite pie of all time — pumpkin pie (overloaded with whipped cream).

Shaley McKeever

What are you thankful for? I’m thankful for the once-in-a-lifetime trip I got to take earlier this year with both my mom and my dad. Since they’re divorced, I thought nothing like that would ever happen in a million years. But they came together to support my little sister in Florida for a competition, and we got to have one full week of my family back together. It was something I’ll cherish forever!

What is your favorite thing about Thanksgiving? My favorite thing about Thanksgiving is the leftovers of course! I will eat Thanksgiving food for days and days.

What are you thankful for? I am thankful for all the opportunities in life I have gotten. Being able to attend college, having an amazing internship and being blessed with my friends and family are something I never take for granted. Although life gets rough, it’s important to remember everything you DO have in life, and for that, I am thankful every day. I’m also thankful for my cute dog.

What is your favorite thing about Thanksgiving? The thing I enjoy most about Thanksgiving is the fact that I get to eat myself into a food coma with no judgments. That doesn’t happen often.

What are you thankful for? I’m thankful for my cute, healthy little family who I get to go home to and feed every day and for the job I have that supports that in full.

What is your favorite thing about Thanksgiving? I love Thanksgiving for the food, of course, but how it brings everyone together and THE THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE, and endless coffee and cute sweaters.

What are you thankful for? I am thankful for my support system of family and friends that keep my life full of happiness.

What is your favorite thing about Thanksgiving? My favorite thing about thanksgiving is the board game that takes place after the meal. My extended family is very competitive and every game ends with vast amounts of laughter.

What are you thankful for? Being the boss! No really. I am so thankful for my loud, fun, crazy, cuddly family. From my energetic and brilliant kids to my cadre of sisters, to the men in my life who love me (shout out to dads and hubs!), I am well and truly blessed. I’m also thankful that I made it through this year. DAMN.

What is your favorite thing about Thanksgiving? Mashed potatoes. The end.

What are you thankful for? I am thankful for my incredible wife who is not only a great boss, but an amazing mother. I am also thankful for my rambunctious boys and their never-ending supply of energy (mostly).

What is your favorite thing about Thanksgiving? My favorite part of Thanksgiving are the two kinds of stuffing my mom and mother-in-law make. Both unique and delicious! Oh .. also seeing family. That’s good too.
